Project Mustang is Notable Expansion For Canada’s Most Famous Brand

Hiram Walker & Sons LTD, has been the supplier of Canadian Club whiskey since 1858.  R.J. Cyr Co.  began its relationship in “Walkerville” in 1958, with the installation of conveyors in the then “brand-new” bottling room.  Forty-five years later, we’re still there.

Most recently, Cyr millwrights and ironworkers teamed up with Volmer & Associates on Project Mustang, an ambitious expansion of the company’s packaging operations that is truly “turnkey.”

Beginning with bottle cleaning and filling and proceeding through packaging, labeling and inspection, the landmark project involved equipment from Holland, Switzerland, Italy, Germany and Canada.

The system, designed and manufactured by Krones AG, was fast-tracked with a double-shift installation encompassing eight bottling lines, each 400’ in length.

Canadian Club, the favored drink of Queen Victoria – and many a famous gangster – Is among the world’s most-recognized products.
