Fast Track, Fast Transfer Conveyors at Daimler/Chrysler Pilette Rd.

R.J. Cyr Co.  has been proudly serving Chrysler Pillette Road since the plant was commissioned in 1974.  Most recently, we built and installed a Fast Transfer line.  Formerly, vans built on body trucks were scooted across the production aisle in a complicated motion that often necessitated line interruption.

We designed, built and installed transfer conveyors that keep the truck that’s being built continuously moving.  A body truck approaching the aisleway now stops, and is picked up by the fast transfer system, which shoots it across for re-joining with the main conveyor.  The project was “fast-tracked” to completion in just 8 weeks.

Cyr teams also extended one primary flat top conveyor in final assembly, and installed a new 200´ conveyor system for radiator delivery.

Upgrades were also made to an overhead chassis conveyor, a project that included the expansion of several work areas, and the installation of a new 2-ton bridge crane, built by Cyr, in the maintenance room.
