High-Speed Thermal Gantry Provides Strategic Advantage

R.J. Cyr Co.  recently expanded its fabrication capabilities with the installation of a high-speed thermal gantry cutting system. The GEMINI 10, manufactured by MG Industries (Menomonee Falls, WI) gives Cyr the ability to precisely and cost-effectively cut the broadest range of materials for both small and large parts runs.

The system allows processing using conventional oxy fuels, as well as a Hypertherm HT2000 plasma system for the mild steel processing (up to 5"), stainless steel processing, aluminum processing, and mild steel processing (up to 1" with plasma.)

The system's maximum cutting width is 10'; other features include dual drive, cutting speeds of 5-500 ipm and multitasking Burny 5 512K CNC controls, which accommodate manual programming where needed.
