Canadian Welding Bureau Recognizes Cyr65overhead bridge cranes, underhung design engineered and manufactured by R.J. Cyr Co. , were recently installed at Chrysler Windsor Assembly, home of the minivan. The project required a mile of high carbon "TARCA" track – one of the largest orders of this track ever, according to track supplier Cleveland Tramrail. Cyr also fabricated the 130 end trucks, and interfaced chain falls, trolleys, wheels and other system components. The traveling, telescoping bridge cranes are used for maintaining service robots and other plant automation. They were specially engineered to operate "bridge under bridge" in plant areas that are otherwise virtually inaccessible. Project scheduling was "fast track," with just 16 weeks between order and delivery of the last units.
